Adventist Youth grew up to become AdventistYA! (AYA) in late 2008 when an unofficial collaborative group of young adults spread out across the North American Division launched this site. AYA is simply a place for real people to share real experiences reflecting what it means to be an SDA in the 21st century. We welcome individuals from all walks here to comment and contribute to this online community. Our goal is to keep the site fresh with anything real, practical, and relevant to Christian SDA young adults.
AYA’s vision is to become a world-wide community of Christian young adults who embrace the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our mission is simply to equip, empower, and engage young adults with clear, relevant, and practical biblical teachings and other Christian resources to enrich their spiritual journey. In the process, we’ll try to break down the “Christianese” making this site accessible to unchurched young adults as well. As we attempt to make the gospel relevant to here and now, AYA will reach both in and outside the church in an effort to advocate emotional and spiritual healing.
AYA! is not an exclusive ministry of one particular local church, but is officially sponsored by the Houston International Seventh-day Adventist Church. Drop us a line if you’re interested in joining us!
